Peyton's Ornaments, Candybar Snowmen and BAD roads

I took Peyton to an event here called Santa's Workshop. It was a lot of fun, but quite overwhelming. They had a $3 cover charge and then at least 20 booths with a different craft at each that the child could make. We made 3 or 4 before Peyton said he was ready too go. It was very loud and there were a ton of people.
He made a cute little ornament like this one and wanted to make more.
So we made a few to give to Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles. :-)
Aren't these guys adorable? I saw the idea here. They even have a template you can print off so you don't have to draw/paint the face and buttons! Chris needed something for his co-workers, so my mom and I made a bunch of these. The ones I saw had paper hats and scarfs, but we thought the fleece ones would be quicker and easier for us.

We went to my moms over the weekend. I wanted to help her get things in order and to-dos done as she had back surgery on Tuesday. We got a big snow storm that night that left around 8 inches of snow. The roads home were horrible. You couldn't see where the edge of the road was or where the lines were. It was pretty slick too. It took us quite a bit longer to get home. Thank goodness Chris was driving!
Below is a section of road that was through a 'better' section!
