Poor little guy.

We took Peyton to the doctor he normally goes to yesterday. Poor little guy has bronchitis. Luckily its not a bad case, but he is still miserable.

All of my cousins on my dads side were in town last night. It was so nice to see all of them and I sure wish we were able to get together a lot more than once a year. Also wish Peyton was feeling better so that we could have stayed and visited with them longer.

I am now able to share some layouts I created for my mom for Christmas. Here are some of my favorites.

Comparison

I couldn't resist comparing my 30 week picture I took yesterday and my 30 week picture from my pregnancy with Peyton after my doctor had told me that at this point in pregnancy with Peyton I was 17 pounds heavier! So here are the pictures! Quite different pregnancies and ways I carry the babies!
2nd Pregnancy
1st Pregnancy

Luckily for you guys the picture from yesterday is blurry and you can't see my bellybutton poking out! It's so gross! My Dr. just laughed when I asked him if it was normal as I feel like its going to burst open!

Hope everyond is healthy and doing better than we are at out house. Peyton woke up in the middle of the night miserable with a high temp, Chris was up at the same time puking and my throat hurt and I thought my sinuses were going to burst from so much congestion pressure!

30 Week Belly Shot!

I'm 30 weeks along today! WAHOO!!! My doctors appointment went well and baby seems to be doing great. I misunderstood my doctor last appointment and am okay having a little sugar here and there, I just need to be very careful to not have much.

My mom was a life saver today and watched Peyton so I could go to my appointment. He has had a temp for a couple days now and a horrible cough and is a sick little baby. I feel so bad for him and hope the temp breaks soon and he gets back to his normal happy self.

Chris painted the chest of drawers last weekend for the baby room band they look great! I was able to wash what little clothes I have and get them in drawers. We have a few fabrics chosen along with a quilt pattern and mom is getting started on the bed set. Slowly but surely I'll get there!

Still no names picked yet. A few we are seriously talking about, but nothing we both really like. Any suggestions?

Can finally show...

some of the Christmas presents I made. I was afraid to show them before Christmas in fear that the recipient would see them!
This is one of my favorite projects! I altered a Rubik cube for Chris and his brothers. I thought they were a lot of fun!

I forgot to take a picture of the basket we made for Chris's Aunt and uncle, but this was part of it. I just love these towel wraps!

I made a Smore box for them also. I had a hard time coming up with things to make that a guy might like, but though the smore box was kinda fun. I decorated the box then put graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey bars in it.

This is the basket I made for Chris's Grandparents.

I have been wanting to start Chris's mom a album and finally did it this year. I also altered a calendar, did a towel wrap, created a mini album, a photo holder and also gave her an ornament with a recording from Peyton on it.

Finally, here is the basket I made for my mom. Pretty much the same as Linda's but with 12x12 layouts as that's what size I've been scrapping for her.

I also made little wash cloth wraps and sets of cards for both of my Grandma's but once again, didn't take pictures. Doesn't look like much, but boy, it sure took a while to get done!

The SWEETEST boy!

Peyton: "I smell something." Followed by to loud sniffs.
Mommy: "Do you smell Mommy's lotion?"
Peyton: "Ahuh!"
Mommy: "Does it smell good?"
Peyton: "Ahuh, you smell yummy yummy Mommy!"

Isn't he sweet? I think he got the 'yummy' smelling from me commenting about some tarts I just got! He's just too darn cute these days and oh so sweet.

Santa!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!
While visiting Mema & Grandpa John (my parents) Peyton and Jazzy got a special visit from Santa! Peyton wasn't to sure what to think and it took quite a bit of work to get him to sit on Santa's lap. Thank you Santa!

I couldn't resist sharing this picture! Grandpa John gives the best horsey rides. He's a pretty tough horse to give two rides at once!

I am really looking forward to tonight and watching all the little cousins play together! We are so blessed to have a great family and to be able to spend time together!

I hope you are able to spend some time with family over Christmas and enjoy the time together!

A visit from Frosty!

Peyton had a special visitor yesterday afternoon! Frosty came to visit him and gave him a present! He wasn't to sure what to think and wouldn't get close to Frosty so I could get a good picture. Here are some pictures (using my old camera, so they aren't the best). He thought his book was 'cool' though. Thanks Frosty!

I was able to get a few layouts done yesterday! I just love the Doodlebug Alpha stickers (brown loopy letters). They are only $2 a sheet and can be found on my Memory Works website (http://mustangkayla.memory-works.com). I'll definitely be ordering the other colors in.

Chris took my truck today, so I am home bound. But that is just fine with me. He just called and said he wasn't too sure that his little Honda would make it out of Canyon View and that the truck had a check engine light on. He called into OnStar and they said to take it into the Chevy Dealership so he turned around and came back to town! Hopefully its nothing major. I'm worried that I used bad diesel last time I filled up at the place that was 30 cents cheaper per gallon, maybe it was cheaper for a reason!

Snow fun!!!

Its been snowing all day! A real fine snow, but snow! I bought Peyton a snowsuit over the summer at a garage sale, and boy am I glad I did. It's a little big, but pretty cute on him.

Chris took off running and rolled in the snow. Sedona thought it was wrestling time and Peyton wasn't too sure what to think.

Chris's cousins gave us a slide and swing set. Thanks so much girls. Peyton LOVES them and kept saying 'Those for me...those for me?" He is requesting that Taylor and Hannah come over and play with him on them. So hopefully over Christmas break that will happen.

Blogs

I love coming across new and awesome blogs. I've recently found two (one this week and one this morning) that I just love and am addicted to! The first one is called The Life, Faith and Creativity of Jessica Turner (http://jessicaturnersblog.blogspot.com/). She just finished up a week of awesome posting about scrapbooking for babies first year. She also has shared some great blogs and sites. Which is where I found the second one. Tip Junkie (http://tipjunkie.blogspot.com/). Hope you get a chance to peek at the blogs as they are a lot of fun!

Ugghh..

I dropped my good Canon camera 6 inches onto a padded chair and don't ya know it...it broke. Chris took it to Best Buy where I bought it and bought the two year warranty with it (know that I'd need it). I was told that I could walk in and they'd hand me a new one. Well, you have to have a broken casing in order for that to happen. So they took it and said it would be around 3 weeks to be fixed! urrghhh...so now I have to go back to the cruddy HP camera during Christmas. Had I known about their rules, I would have had Chris throw the camera on the ground before he took it back.

We have a layer of snow outside now and more forcasted for the weekend. My mom doesn't have school today so I'm hoping she can come over and help me go through baby stuff and finish up a project this morning.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Giggling

I was able to get a few gift baskets put together last night and am glad they are done. Although I'm waiting til closer to Christmas to wrap them in the clear wrap stuff. I was also able to get a layout done yesterday. They were pictures from my cousin Em's visit last summer. We look forward to her visits every year and have so much fun together. I sure wish we lived closer so it would be easier to visit more often. I'll have lots of pictures and projects to share after Christmas as a lot of the gifts I want to share are for people who look at my blog (or at least I think look at my blog)!

Last night I woke up to Peyton giggling. He must have been having silly dreams. I asked him when he got up this morning if he had good dreams last night. He shook his head yes. So I asked him what they were about. He said 'about silly hippos'. Too cute! I couldn't help but giggle myself.

Yesterday I had a few errands to run and when I got in the truck it was 0 degrees! Holy toledo was it cold here.

28 Week Belly Shot!

I'm 28 weeks today! Not so happy with my picture, but seeing as my belly is getting HUGE and I know some of you are curious (Kimmy....), I thought I'd share one I just took! And some say I don't look pregnant...lol...

Smores

I saw this really cute idea on a blog (can't remember which one, as I read so many of them. But they covered a Cosmo Cricket box with the Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy line and created a smore box. I thought it was so cute I had to try it. It was quick and fun!
After taking pictures of them I remember why they were still sitting on my scrap table. Someone (I'm thinking along the lines of a curios 2 1/2 year old) took off with the little marshmallow man/figure before I could attach it to the box. So I'll be adding a little marshmallow man again (hopefully....if I can find one) to the bottom right corner to fill that space!

Another Creation!

I managed to get our Christmas card picture scrapped already! Thank goodness for my scrappy websites and their challenges! It worked out that I was able to use it for the Theme challenge at Scrap 4 Life, the Color challenge at Citrus Tree and the Use Your Stash and Quote Challenge at Scrapbook Dreamer! WAHOO!!! I just love the quote: The best of gifts around the Christmas tree: the presence of a family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis

We are going over to my moms tonight for a going away party for some close friends of family. So sad to see them move away, but glad they can move closer to their girls!

I won!!! I won!!!

I participate in challenges and contests as much as I can! I recently participated in one through Memory Works for all their reps. The challenge was to create as many cards and layouts using Page Maps sketches and Memory Works products! So much fun, I just love Page Maps sketches and the products at Memory Works are so awesome, it was easy to do! Here is what I won...Thank you Memory Works! I can't wait to make some cards!

Bum deal...

I'll start off on a good note. Saturday we too Peyton to see the Christmas Lights parade. He thought that was pretty cool, the big trucks, police car, fire truck and he even saw the Grinch! I forgot to turn my camera to night setting so the pictures came out horrible.

This morning we picked out our Christmas tree! YEAH!

The bum deal part is that at my Dr. appt. this morning I found out that I am borderline anemic and one point off from having gestational diabetes, which according to my doctor, almost always turns into gestational diabetes this far into the pregnancy. Urrghh....he told me to cut out all sugar. Of course I had to say 'you mean I need to cut back on my sweets I am eating'...one can always hope for the best right? Well, not so much luck as he said not at all. So I feel like throwing myself a pity party. But I can't really complain as I have a healthy baby so far and am not on bed rest. I'm blessed to have a nice warm home to sleep in at night. Right?

Here is a layout I did over the weekend. The picture of Peyton just cracks me up!

I've also gotta let ya know about these amazing tarts made by one of my friends, Kat. She has them listed on ebay. Oh my, are the just as delicious as can be. If your a candle lover you definitely need to try some of her tarts. Her ebay name is randis*closet, http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZrandis*closet.

Another Mini Album and M&M's

Has anyone else tried those new Mint M&M's? Oh, man are they addicting. They almost taste like Andes mints. I'm definitely going to have to limit how often I buy the bags as when I start eating them I can't seem to stop!

Here is another mini album I created a week or two ago. The pictures really don't do it justice. The paper is just gorgeous and glittery!
Here is a set of cards I made for my Step Grandma's birthday tomorrow.

I have a few other projects I have been spending lots of time on but I can't post them yet as the people receiving them check out my blog! So after Christmas I'll have a ton of projects to share.

A few tidbits.

I had Chris take another picture of my belly last night as I felt it had grown quite a bit and I am 26 weeks, but the pictures don't portray how I feel. heehee...

I had another ultrasound first thing this morning, this one being concentrated on the baby. We've confirmed that we are having a girl. According to her measurements she is due February 27th (not March 9th like we've been thinking). So they either have the date off or she is a big girl, or both! Peyton did pretty good during my ultrasound but was more interested in the toys than in the screen showing the baby.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!

Mini tin albums

I made these for a gal who was wanting to buy mini albums for her daughter in-laws for Christmas. I was a little nervous as I don't consider myself a very advanced scrapbooker, but she loved them! YEAH!!!

I just love Bo Bunny's Beautiful Life collection. It is sssooo yummy! Check out their blog and see all of the beautiful creations they did with this line: http://bobunny.blogspot.com/2008/11/fall-table-decor.html . I personally love the candle holder idea at the end of the post and may just have to scraplift it sometime!

Blog Award

While visiting my friend Susie's blog I noticed she gave me a blog award! Thanks Susie!
I'd like to pass it on:
Tammy
Nancy
KariAnn
(lol...I'm not sure who reads my blog....but know you girls do and I love reading your blogs!)

Madagascar 2 & Beavers!

Saturday Chris and I took Peyton to see Madagascar 2. It was very cute. He did great and was too in awe to eat any popcorn til almost 3/4 through the movie when he decided he was ready to go home. But that huge tub of popcorn kept him there through the end! We went over to a friends to watch the OSU game! GO BEAVS! We barely pulled it off, but we won! YEAH!!!! Peyton had a ton of fun playing with the other two little boys that were there.

I was able to finish a few projects this weekend. A couple I want to share, but have to wait til after Christmas as they are Christmas gifts. I do have a few mini albums I plan to take pictures of and share later today or tomorrow though!

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Friday already?

Wow, this week went fairly fast! Can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! Christmas is just around the corner! Although I have been working on Christmas presents for over a month I still feel a push to hurry up. I did get my dads bought though and he is usually the hardest!

We are thinking about taking Peyton to see Madagascar 2 tomorrow. He did really well when we took him to see Kungfu Panda.

I've been working on a couple projects for gift and a couple mini albums I was asked to make. They are on my to-do list this weekend. I'd really like to get them finished.

I'm 24 Weeks!

Yeah! Six months along today! Had another check up today. It went okay. The doctor who did my surgery in Portland still hadn't sent the reports to my doctor (its been 11 weeks!!!!), even after two requests for them. But my doctor finally got ahold of the surgeon and called me this afternoon asking that I come back in next week and once the following two weeks. So lots of trips to Redmond and the doctor in my near future. Since I'm 24 weeks it's time for another belly shot and boy does it make me look huge!

Chris is back from elk hunting! They hunted a new area this year with not much luck. They saw quite a few cows but no bulls.

I found out recently that a friend from college lost her mother (her mother was pretty young). I can't even begin to imagine what she is going through and how hard it would be to lose your mom. I wanted to do something special but wasn't sure what to do, a card just didn't seem like the right thing to send. I came across this poem and ornament in a magazine and here is what I came up with:

The Poem Reads:
Merry Christmas From Heaven
I still hear the songs,
I still see the lights
I still feel your love on cold wintery nights
I still share your hopes and all of your cares
I'll even remind you to please say your prayers
I just want to tell you, you still make me proud
You stand head and shoulders above all the crowd
Keep trying each moment, to stay in His grace
I came here before you to help set your place
You don't have to be perfeect all the time
He forgives you the slip, if you continue the climb
To my family and friends,
Please be thankful today
I'm still close beside you,
in a new special way
I love you all dearly,
Now don't shed a tear
Cause I'm spending my
Christmas with Jesus this year.
Ornament reads:
I love you all dearly,
Now don't shed a tear,
I'm spending my Christmas
With Jesus this year.

Buck'n Deer Mommy!

Sedona was barking at something but I didn't give it much thought til I happened to glance out the window and see a buck rubbing his antlers against our tree. Happened to by my favorite tree too, can't have that! I just love how Peyton says 'Buck'n Deer mommy' so I hollered at him to come and look. He said "Papa got buck'n deer already'. He cracks me up how much he understands these days. The picture of Sedona just staring at the deer cracks me up. So much for the thought that she would keep the deer away from our trees and garden!

New Layouts

Here are a few layouts I was able to create yesterday and today!

I used a sketch on this one for a challenge at the Scrap 4 Life Crop.

Just a simple layout of a couple of my favorite pics of Peyton.

Isn't the Bo Bunny Paper yummy?
