Miss Madeline Marie Layout

There is a challenge called Therapeutic Thursday over at Paper Popsicles. Lynda created a great sketch. I had a lot of fun with it.
The adorable GIRL bingo card digital stamp came from Lindsays Stamp Stuff. You can check out Lindsays blog here. If you haven't gotten into digital stamps yet, watchout! lol...For those of you wondering what it is. Digital Stamps are like stamps, but pictures you can print out on your computer instead of stamp. Make sense?
The cute leaf pin and charm came from a RAK I won off of Scoobies Little Blog. I think I might just have to find some more straight pins like that and charms too.

Don't forget to check back Sunday. I am participating in a Caardvarks blog hop sponsored by Creative Cuts and More.

Old Project

I had so much fun making this turkey pumpkin last year I wanted to share it again! I adhered patterned paper and cardstock to some chipboard and then cut and inked the shapes. I then used a thumb tack to stick the pieces into the pumpkin!

I am attempting to potty train Peyton! It has been quite the battle. He now has it down at home and hasn't had a potty accident in quite a while. Although, he still wears a diaper at night and will NOT do his duty in the toilet.

I created this potty chart for Peyton. His uncle Coco and Amanda bought him some cool smiley stickers that he gets when he goes potty in the toilet. Since that photo he has filled up all the boxes and earned a new game for his Leapster.

Our agreement is that if he wears his big boy underwear he can choose his outfit. This usually means he is hanging out in his undies and t-shirt. In the picture above he is scrapbooking with me, or as Peyton would say "I'm scrapybooking!"

Missed it again!

Yep, Miss Madeline turned 9 months on Monday and I completely forgot!

  • She weighs 23 pounds
  • She is 29" long.
  • She just LOVES her big brother and lights up whenever she sees him.
  • If you give her a container full of tupperwear she is happy for a while!
  • She prefers to sit up and play with her toys or be in her excersaucer.
  • She still talks a lot.
  • Everything goes in her mouth.
  • This girl can eat and hasn't come across a food she doesn't like yet. Although the 3 times she has had apples, she has broken out in a rash.
  • She likes to give the librarian some competition as he reads stories during story time on Tuesday mornings.
  • She loves the water, whether it be the pool or her bath.
  • She is still a good sleeper. A typical night she goes to bed at by 8 and wakes up between 6 and 7! Although she has a pulled a couple 12 hour sleeps recently!
  • She has a strong grip and grabs anything she can get ahold of.

Here are the pictures of her with her teddy!

My mom makes THE BEST monster cookies ever! A while back we discovered that we like them better frozen! Kinda odd, but its true. Tricia at Citrus Tree Studio challenge this month was an ad challenge. The twist was it had to be about food. I instantly knew I wanted to do a layout about mom's cookies. I was hoping to get a picture of her baking them, but that didn't work out. The patterned papers and chipboard alphas and shapes are from Cosmo Cricket (the BEST EVER company!). I found a recipe card on-line and printed it off to write the recipe on!

Here are a few pictures of the kiddos!
Maddy LOVES to try and grab Peytons face, or pj's or feet, or anything she can get a hold of! haha!

Forgot to give credit....

I feel so bad! I forgot to give credit where credit was due! I created this layout for the Creative Cuts & More Blog hop. Well that REALLY cute Bingo card came from Lindsay's Stamp Shop. She has some fantastic digital stamps in her shop and they are such a good deal too! You can find a lot of them and projects using them on her blog here (Click the word 'here' to go to her blog). Sorry Lindsay! You should have called me on it! :)

Here is layout I did for a challenge over at Citrus Tree Studio. I used the October kit from their also. I absolutely LOVED this kit and its really hard to not get another one! It was chalk full of yumminess! Make sure to check it out here: Citrus Tree Studio October Kit. It's hard to see, but I cut the inner of the frame out. I popped the outside ring up using pop dots and trimmed the inside a bit so that the cardstock showed through.

Thanks for stopping by!

Another Challenge

I came across this fabulous blog, Scrap A Little. She has fun tutorials and posts! She recently posted a challenge to use one of her sketches and 50% Basic Grey. Here is my take on her second sketch. It look crooked in the picture, but that is due to my poor photography skills. Sorry! Check out Helens blog, Scrap A Little. You still have time to participate in her challenge! Citrus Tree has a challenge this month that is to 'use complimentary colors'. Orange and blue is one of my fave color combos and it helped me pick out papers for this layout!

And in case your wondering, yes Peyton is playing in the sprinklers with all his clothes on. I choose my battles and making him get into swim trunks wasn't one of them!

On Maddy's 8 month post I wrote that she really likes her big brothers sippy cups. Here are some pictures of her going for it!

2 Sketches 4 You and Citrus Tree Challenges

I was excited to hear that Creative Cuts & More was sponsoring this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You challenge! I had this great Acetate Take Out Box from CC&M and wanted to play with it! This is my take on the fun sketch.
I looked for Christmas candy the last time I was out and wasn't able to find any yet! So its kinda hard to get a good picture of without anything inside!

This next layout was for a paper piecing challenge at Citrus Tree Studio. I paper pieced the falling star! The large scalloped circle also came from Creative Cuts & More. The papers are from Bo Bunny and the embellies are from Making Memories! I just love it when I find lines that mix really well like this!

The Pumpkin Co.

Warning, this is a picture heavy post! Chris and I took the kids to the Pumpkin Co. today. It turned out to be a really nice day and we had a lot of fun!

We went into the petting barn. This little goat was a crack up. It LOVED to get in your face! Every time I squatted down to get a picture at Peytons eye level this little guy was in my face!

How cute is this little lamb? I wanted to take him home with me!

Peyton got to ride a pony! After his ride, that is all he wanted to do, go back and ride a pony! It cracks me up how serious he is when riding.

Thank you Uncle Coco, for saving my back! At 22 pounds Maddy gets quite heavy! She was very good today and seemed to really enjoy being in the backpack! She was SSOOO tired, but there was way to much going on for her to go to sleep!

Peyton and Chris played a little mini golf!
Peyton fed the BIG horses. He thought that was pretty cool!

Peyton LOVED the mini maze! He ran around and around with the other little kids there and did not want to leave it!
New this year was a archery area. Peyton shot a little bow for the first time! The arrow had a suction cup on the end.
Like I said, picture heavy post! I have a few layouts to share this week, so check back soon!

Welcom to the October Creative Cuts & More Blog Hop

Hi blog hoppers! Wasn't Pam's project GREAT? If you didn't arrive here from the Creative Cuts and More Blog or Pam's blog, you don't want to miss what our whole DT has in store for you! The Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop starts at http://die-cut-diva.blogspot.com/ .

I fell in love with the diaper die cut. Don't ask me why, I'm getting REALLY tired of changing them. That is another story though! Haha! For this layout I used a large scalloped circle and a diaper die cut from CC&M. I made this layout for my daughters first Christmas (which will be this year).

I am in LOVE with these boxes and bags! They are SO much fun and make great little gifts. Just toss in some candy or homemade goodies! Picture below is a French Fry Box (in green) and a Square Bag (in red). I used Killer Red Tacky Tape to adhere it together. That tape is FABULOUS!

Make sure to hop along to everyones blog and leave a comment on the Creative Cuts & More Blog so you have a chance at a FALL ALL OCCASIONS CARD KIT. Digital Stamp

I got the cute cowboy (a digital stamp) from Paper Popsicles. He was their Friday Freebie! Every Friday they offer an image for free (instructions are on their blog). Once Friday is gone, so is the free offer! They also have something called Monday Madness. Where you link your project using their digital stamp by Monday. I am just beginning the whole digital stamp thing and struggle coloring. I don't have very good markers and definitely don't have a very large color selection! Here is my card:

I LOVE the Imaginisce line Twitterpated. Nicole was nice enough to share some of this line with me. I just love these pictures. It was one of the first times Peyton actually played together.

I bought these shirts for the kiddos at Carters. Aren't they cute? I'm hoping to get them in for a little photo shoot soon with these shirts. I feel bad, I never had a photo shoot with Maddy at 6 months, so maybe I'll go in for a 9 month shoot!

Oh, and of course we have to get a picture of Peyton's sock don't ya know! haha!

Baby Mini Album

I know quite a few people having babies or grandbabies and thought I'd whip up a quick little brag book. I haven't finished the cover yet. I'm debating if I should decorate it generic or if I should wait and put a babies name on it once I know who I am giving it too.

I have to admit, I am enjoying finding clothes for Maddy. I am REALLY excited that there are such cute clothes that aren't in pink! Haha! Poor girl, I just don't do pink! I am loving the brown, green and oranges that are popular right now! I have been trying to get pictures of her in her cute little outfits. Poor Peyton feels a little left out so I am building quite the random collection of pictures of him as he asks to have his picture taken also. Only thing with Peyton is, I rarely get a nice smile!

Bath time!

Peyton took their first bath together Sunday. I asked Peyton if he wanted to take a bath with sister. His reply was 'That would be really cool Mommy!"

As you can tell, they both loved it! Maddy just LOVES watching her brother and trying to do what he does. They are so much fun to watch interact!
