Missed it again!

I have missed a month mark once again! Such a bad mommy! Maddy turned 7 months yesterday! Here are some pictures of her and a little bit about her at 7 months.

  • She talks/coos a lot! (hence picture below)

  • She will roll over from her tummy to her back really easy, but doesn't do it from her back to her tummy very often.
  • She grabs anything she can get her little hands on. She just LOVES to go after her big brothers sippy cup!
  • She LOVES to eat and will try to grab whatever is on your plate or in your hand.
  • She is still an excellent sleeper. Goes to bed around 8 and gets up around 6-6:30!
  • She loves being outside.

I have been trying to take monthly pictures of Maddy next to this teddy to show how much she has grown. Here is Maddy at 1 week old.

And here she is at 7 months old!

Peyton wanted in on the pictures, how could I say no?
This was from the beginning of the month, I just love it!

Exciting News!

I am so excited to share that I am now on the Creative Cuts & More Design Team! WAHOO!!!! I received my box of goodies to design with this week and wow, what fun items Terry has in her Creative Cuts & More Store. Here is a picture of a really cool mix & match mini album she has. You can purchase it in acetate, chipboard and cardstock!

How cute is this french fry box? Oh the things I am coming up to do with it!

She also has tons of other shapes, cards, boxes, 3-d items and more! But your decisions are done with deciding the items you want, she offers the die cuts cardstock (smooth, textured, bling), accetate, felt and foam just to name a few (certain items not available in foam and felt).

So check back soon as I will reveal a couple projects during the Creative Cuts & More Blog hop in September!

Busy busy!

Wow, its been almost a week since I have posted! We had a garage sale over the weekend so I was busy with that and didn't get to scrap. The garage sale was slow and I was kinda disappointed in how much didn't sell. Another gal who had a garage sale last weekend said hers was really slow too. I was nervous as I wasn't sure I could juggle the sale and the kids but Peyton and Maddy were FABULOUS! So were my dad and Chris who helped watch them and feed them. My mom helped a lot with the sale also!

I was able to finish up a layout I had started last weekend for a challenge over at Citrus Tree Studio. I wanted to do a layout and journal about how I had to learn to juggle two kiddos in the morning. My morning snuggle time with Peyton is my favorite part of the day.

These picture is from the DuPont family reunion. Isn't Maddy's outfit cute? My mom made it for her. Maddy just LOVED Aunt Donna's tortillas. She grabbed it out of Chris's hand and stuck it right in her mouth!

Here Uncle Coco, Aunt Amanda (not really an Aunt yet...hint hint Corey...lol...) and Peyton patiently await the pinata to break open!

A Mini Album & Cards

I was able to finish up a mini album for Chris's Grandma for her birthday. I used the My Minds Eye 29th Street Market Mega Pack from Memory Works found here (click on the word 'here' to be connected to it). I am a Memory Works Rep and you can order the kit through my site if you like it and want one. This pack is only $29.95 and is valued at over $100! I am still kicking around ordering a second one cause I like it so much! Here is the mini:

Here are a couple cards that I made with the little leftover scraps!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Challenge Layouts & More Pictures

I was able to finish up two layouts over the weekend for a couple challenges over at Citrus Tree Studio.

This layout was for Tammy's color challenge. It was kind of odd scrapping this one as Community First is now Home Federal Bank. But it was such a cute picture that I had to scrap it anyway!

This layout was for Stacey's Sketch Challenge. I'm not overly happy with it. But you can't love all your layouts right!

Peyton is such a crack-up these days. He has this fascination with his sisters hat and headband. I need to start collecting items for a dress up bin for him as he has been having fun dressing up lately.

Extatic

Well, we are back from the family reunion. It felt like we were only there a day. We arrived at camp at around 9:30 after a 5 hour drive! Maddy did really well though. Thanks Kimmy for the tip about the carseat! I put Maddy in Peytons carseat (its one of those that goes from birth to booster) and put Peyton in the extra one we kept in Chris's car. That was the trick, she just didn't like how much she laid back in the other carseat. Peyton had SO much fun. He ran and played with his cousins til he crashed. There was so much going on I forgot to take very many pictures.

I had to check in on one of my all time favorite blogs, The Cosmo Cricket Blog. Now if you haven't checked out the blog you gotta. It is so much fun. Lindsay and Julie are a riot and there is TONS, I mean TONS of fabulous inspiration on there. Check out what was on their blog Friday, click here (click on the word 'here' and it takes you to the site). How cool is that? Yep, my Early to Bed, Early to Rise, Fish all day, Tell Big Lies layout! I can't even tell you how excited I was to see my layout on the COSMO CRICKET blog! Wow...I'm just still excited as all get out. Thanks Lindsay! You guys are the BEST!

I have two layouts in progress as well as a mini album. I hope to be back to share those with ya real soon as well as a few pictures from our family reunion!

Maddy At 6 Months

Maddy turned 6 months over a week ago! Her 6 month picture with her teddy bear keeps flipping upside down when I post it here so I chose a different photo. Here are some facts about Maddy:
  • She weighs in at a whoppin 19 pounds!
  • She is a big talker. I just love listening to her coo.
  • She can roll over but chooses not to most of the time.
  • She loves her crib and want to be in it at around 8-8:30.
  • She has a special connection with her Uncle Kiki, he can calm her down and make her happy when no one else can (I really need to get a picture of Uncle Kiki holding her)
  • She loves her big brother who has a special way of getting her to smile and laugh.
  • She DOES NOT like her car seat.
  • She has a really strong grip.

Peyton fought and fought me on taking a nap. After about an hour and a half he finally gave up! Doesn't that look comfortable?

Well, we are able to make it to the DuPont family reunion after all. We are all very excited and leave tonight after Chris gets off work. I really need to learn how to hook up the trailer to the truck so I can help speed things along. Peyton can't wait to play with his cousins. I hope everyone has a great week!

New Layout

This started out as a layout for the Bo Bunny Sketch challenge. Then I came across this fun challenge at this fabulous site called Creative Pandemonium. It was to use 2 journaling spots (one from My Minds Eye and one from Bo Bunny), 2 ribbons and 6 buttons. Makes sure and check out the blog.

This is a layout I did using a sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. It was also for the Tricia's July Color Challenge over at Citrus Tree Studio. I just love it when I can combine a challenge! Everything but the Bazzill Carstock and Doodlebug Alpha Stickers is from the Crate Paper Mia Collection!

More pictures and another layout!

First off is a layout I was able to create today! I love the Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy line! It is so much fun! I saw this quote somewhere a while back and knew it would make a fun title. I'm not sure if I am completely done with it. I am wondering if I need to fill in the upper right and corner with another branch and owl or something. Also wondering if I should outline the brown chipboard letters. What do you think?

Here are some more pictures for our recent trip to Lincoln City.
Peyton LOVED playing in the sand!
Here is Maddy with her GREAT Aunt and Uncle. She sure has a special connection with her Great Uncle. He can sure get her calmed down and asleep when nobody else can.
If you asked Peyton what he wanted to do it was either bat-ball as he calls it or go to the beach. He hits it so hard we had to start having outfielders to catch the ball as he would hit it so hard.
He had so much fun with his Uncle Adam and Uncle Adam was such a good sport to play so much baseball with him!
I couldn't resist sharing these photos of the storm we had last night! I was able to catch a picture of lightning! It was quite the light show! The wind also picked up and did a toll on my dads garden as well as blow Peytons play structures across the street into the park!
The sunset was GORGEOUS!
