Altered Frames

Hello! I thought I'd share a couple more projects for my bazaar.
This is a 8x10 frame using really old MME paper.
I had made a bunch of these flowers a while back. Looking at them on the frame, I think I need to make more, I kinda like them!

Then a baby boy frame.
I used scraps from when Peyton was born! *gasp* I know, but I still like them and figured if I do someone else might. Right?
I'm digging the layering of embellies I'm seeing out their in the blog world and having fun doing it myself!

I LOVE Maddy's expression in this one! She just cracks me up! Chris and Miss Maddy were watching a OSU Football game.
Yes, on occasion I do do her hair. But she messes it up within minutes, so I rarely worry about it anymore. I can have her in cute pigtails ready to go to town and run to the bathroom and come out to her hair down. :-/

Busy, Busy, Busy

Well I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! I sure did. We were able to get lots of fun family time in, can't beat that! Lots of games and laughter. Actually Chris and I are still recapping different 'hi-lights' and laughing about them!

**EDITED TO TELL YOU ABOUT A FABULOUS Giveaway**
Do ya like what ya see? Yep, who wouldn't huh? Well head right over to THE INCREDIBLE Patti's blog and check it out! She is doing an incredible give-away on her blog! I've linked to her blog a few times before, but seriously, you need to go check her blog out! She is SUPER talented and over the top sweet!

is a layout I created last week, or maybe the week before. I needed a break from my Christmas Bazaar crafts.
This was my first layout I had done in quite a while where I didn't use a sketch! I shocked myself! ;-) My kiddos are such good shoppers, most of the time that is. I am VERY lucky. Now they do lose their patience and after learning a few tricks it really helps. I let Peyton take his Leapster in to play and grab a toy or something cheap for Maddy to play with and then put it back before we check out. I also keep a stash of snacks in my purse. :-)
I love the look of layering the tiny type alphas. Although have found it kinda of a pain to glue them down. I also love the look of the clusters like I have in the upper right. I used a clear button and adhered a piece of patterned paper to the back to make a matching button.

So this is what I've been up to and what I'll be up to this next week. If I disappear, you know why!
I pulled out all of my items for the bazaar I've made trying to get a game plan for my table set up. I had more than I thought!
I still need to work on my display, but am happy with what I've come up with so far! I've been raiding rooms and closets for display items, the white tray came from Maddy's room!
This isn't how it will look at the bazaar, I was just seeing how much stuff I have. I have a 6 foot table and thats it! :0) I raided my moms house and found a piece of furniture I borrowed that will give me more space! Thanks mom!

I DID IT!!!!

I finally decided it couldn't hurt to try, and created a shop on Etsy! I'm just getting things set up right now. I need to figure out how to create a header/banner and get it on there. I really struggle with pricing and shipping and such too. I think that will my biggest battle right now. I am only posting a few items as I have my booth at a local bazaar coming up December 4th. Once that is over I'll post what items I have left!

So if you want to peek at it, you can find it here.

A few more items I'm made recently:
I can't get enough of these purses. I think they are so much fun! I'm embarrassed to say how long they take me though. lol...
I can't get enough of the Wanted line by Cosmo Cricket. Its so darn pretty!

And a frame I altered. I've really gotten into altering frames too. Did ya know, these make great message boards too? Yep, just grab a dry erase marker and you got your message board!
Of course, I used the good ole distressed circle flowers! Love those too!

Star Mini Albums

I'm still crafting away for my bazaar. I thought I'd make a couple of these fun mini albums. I call them Star Mini albums as when you open them up they look like a star.

I loved how my other mini turned out so I just copied it! :-) Made creating the cover SO much quicker!
Here is a picture of it open.

This is the other one I made.
Doesn't that look neat open?

Thanks for stopping by!

Fantastic Video Tutorial and Cosmo Cricket Togetherness Altered Frame

First off, I want to share this fabulous video tutorial created by the super talented and sweet Patti. She created these super cute felt flowers and put them on a card recently. Just LOVED them and was curious how she made them. Well, she was kind enough to make a tutorial and a video one at that! You can check it out here. Aren't these flowers just as cool as can be?

I have been making weekly visits to the thrift store to find items to use and alter for my Christmas Bazaar. Lets face it, if I have to pay $5+ for a frame that means I have to charge a lot more for it (by the time you add the cost of adhesive, embellies, papers, etc). BUT, if I find a frame like I did below for a buck or less, I can charge a much more reasonable amount. So I found this frame and it JUMPED out at me! haha!
I used the Cosmo Cricket Togetherness line to change it and am happy with how it came out! Of course, I had to use the bear for props! We've had gloomy days lately so the picture is pretty dark no matter where I took it.

I'm in for it with Maddy. Yep, she is so...mischievous! Here she drug a empty tote that was awaiting a new home over to the light switch, took off the lid, flipped it over, put her blanket on it and somehow managed to climb up on it (she's got short legs, sot hat part kinda impressed me...haha!). Then it was the good ole trick of turning the light on, looking at me, giggling, turning it off, looking at me, giggling, turning it back on...and so it went! Yep...I'm in for it. We put a child safety gate at the top of our stairs. You have to pull a button back and lift the gate. She figured it out the other day so I put a second lock on it (one that hooks around cabinet door handles) and it didn't take her but 3 days to figure that one out either. It would be okay, but she thinks she's a BIG girl and tries to walk down the stairs like we do. Her legs are just to short at the moment that she can't quite do it!

Cosmo Cricket Pixie-licious Layout

I had a little mojo loss on my Christmas Bazaar items. So I took a break to create a layout. I saw a sketch on Ideas for Scrapbookers I had been wanting to try.

Maddy was fighting sleep big time. I tried and tried to put her in her playpen to get her to go to sleep but she just wasn't going for it. I should mention, we were at my in-laws, not at home. She just didn't want to miss out on the action. So I put her on my shoulders and started to walk around. It didn't take but a few minutes and she was out!
I used papers from the Cosmo Cricket Pixie-licious line. I can't remember who the stickers are by, but they go perfect with the papers.
My mom came over over the weekend and got my sewing machine going again so I've been having fun with that! I've also been using my Cuddlebug quite a bit and used it to emboss the circle piece. I'm punched a TON of circles and cut them in half to create the scallop circle look.

It snowed last week! Peyton was SUPER excited. He couldn't wait to get out in it. Maddy wasn't so sure what Peyton was all excited about. Once we got outside Peyton was running around like crazy and Maddy started crying to go back inside.

Another Mini

Another mini to share! Another chipboard album I found at Michael's I thought would be fun to alter for my Bazaar.
These papers were from American Crafts.
I've gotten hooked on this look. The scalloped border with the scalloped circles and flowers layered with pins! I have been getting much use from my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug lately!
I kept it super simple. It makes it easier for non-crafty people to fill it with pictures.
Yep, super simple to just glue a 4x6 right inside!

Another photo I found on my thumbdrive. Peyton started growing a sunflower in school last year. When it got big enough we decided to plant it by the little water feature in the back yard. He wanted to take it to school to show his teachers. I took a picture of him next to it and printed it out for him to take to school instead!
On the school note, I am so THANKFUL that he loves school. He asks to go every day. He has FABULOUS teachers and I am so grateful that he enjoys it and looks forward to it!

Christmas Tree Mini

I create a couple Christmas Tree Mini albums for the grandparents last year. I came across some tree shaped chipboard albums at Michaels and picked up a couple for my Christmas Bazaar.
Of course, had to use teddy to get a picture!

The papers were from a My Minds Eye stack I picked up last year. I love that stack!
I can't remember if I already said, but I found the thumb drive went missing a while back! On it were some pictures I had wanted to share.
This was Labor Day weekend camp. Peyton and Maddy had so much fun in this little jeep. Maddy is talking on the walky talky! :-)
Yet another off center photo.
We went to Idaho to visit Uncle Adam (Chris's brother) and Aunt Adina. We too them to Silverwood Theme Park. Aunt Adina took Peyton on a car ride!
They also have a huge water park. I bought a disposable waterproof camera and the pictures came out HORRIBLE! This is the only one that came out. :-(

Scrapbook.com November Cosmo Cricket Challenge

I realized I hadn't posted about my Cosmo Cricket challenge at Scrapbook.com yet! I am lucky enough to be able to host the challenge for Cosmo Cricket (who sends the prize to the winner). This month I decided to challenge everyone to do something Christmasy. Whether it be scrappy your photos from last year, creating cards for this year or altering something for you as a gift! Yep...you can do anything as long as its Christmasy and as long as its 90% Cosmo Cricket products! :-) Head over to Scrapbook.com forum and to the Challenges section under the Interactive Fun section!

Here is my take on the challenge (I also later on posted a card and altered M&M dispenser):
Maddy discovered my Cosmo Cricket goodies. I had been fairly lucky with her not getting into my scrappy stuff. But once she found it, I was in trouble. She went for the Cosmo Cricket too, even though there was other stuff nearby she could easily get too. :-) A girl after my own heart!
I added a bit of glitter to the journaling spot as the chipboard had glitter on it. I also cut out the 'Cosmo Cricket' from a sheet of paper to add it to the journaling spot.

I LOVE this shot of Maddy! She hid my thumb drive from me (I originally thought she threw it away) but luckily I found it today! :-) Totally made my day. And on it were these pictures:
She so stinkin' cute (um..no bias there or anything. ;-) ) I could eat her or squeeze her....or....lol....I think I give that sweet little face a hundred kisses a day!

Of course when the camera comes out, the posing begins! I think he gets it from his dad as I usually quietly disappear when the camera comes out!

Busy Crafting

I've been really busy lately working on projects for my craft bazaar. Here are a few of the magnetic clothespins I've altered:
I thought it good to not do EVERYTHING Christmasy as the non-Christmas themed items make great gifts!

If your looking for a good gift for your younger kiddo....check out LeapFrog Leapsters. I found killer deal on Craigslist, but they are definitely worth paying full prices for.
BOTH my kids love them! Here I got to cook dinner in piece with no screaming or fighting! :-)
Maddy hasn't quite figured them out yet, but enjoys trying to be like Buddy (what she calls Peyton). They make great travel activities and I even have let Peyton take them shopping with us. He sits in the cart and plays away and I can shop MUCH easier! :-)
