A lot of nothing....

Have you ever googled your name? Have you ever googled your screen name? Try it, see what you find. I found a lot of my blog posts linked. I also had a couple links to the Cosmo Cricket blog which just made my day! How cool is that? heehee....

A lot of people wonder what others do all day. Well here is a couple snapshots of regular ole days at my house.

Did you know coffee filters make great hats, especially Chef hats?

Yep, she has been climbing of some time! Am I scared? YES! :)

Who knew taking every piece of clothing out of your dresser could be so much fun? Even Little Miss likes to get in on this action. Although she prefers her own dresser and yes, she can open her dresser drawers.
Hmm...apparently the one tub out at a time rule only applies when THEY decide it does. Boy, can I not wait til they have their own rooms and the majority of toys can be in their bedrooms not the living room!

Yes, a wrapping paper roll is much fun to shred.
Yep, thats our household for ya! See, I told ya this post was a lotta nothing! :)

Cosmo Cricket Earth Love Mini Album

I learned a VERY hard lesson on this mini album. Want me to share it with you? I bet you do. Too bad! haha! Okay, I'll share it! Don't scrap in the evening with BAD lighting. Yep, I didn't think the lighting in my scrap area was that bad til I took my almost finished album to a friends house who has GREAT lighting and realized some of the colors are off just a tad. Ugh...it was too late too, I had glued down everything REALLY well!

Creative Cuts & More has one of my favorite shaped mini albums, the tag shape. This is the Tag Mini Album Set (5"x7"). I also used the Large #02 Tag and the Small #02 Tag in the colors Rosey and Thunder from Creative Cuts and More. I used papers, ribbons and chipboard mostly from Cosmo Cricket Earth Love line. Some of the chipboard and ribbon are from other Cosmo Cricket lines.

Each page has tags that you can pull out. I haven't decided what I want to fill this min album with yet. It would make a great anniversary or birthday album as you could put a picture on the page and journal a memory on a tag. I might also do pictures of family as I think Peyton would really enjoy looking at this mini with movement!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you stop back by soon!

Another Cosmo Cricket Challenge

I have been having fun playing along with Cosmo Crickets weekly challenges. This week they decided to challenge us to: Create your layout, project or card using something that intimidates you a bit whether it's a color, technique, subject, etc. Then, post your creation online with a link here, and an explanation of the fear you overcame.

Since my scrapbook time seems to be getting shorter and shorter by the day, I combined it with Tricia's sketch challenge over at Citrus Tree Studio.

I am VERY intimidated to start adhering pieces to my layout before EVERYTHING is decided and just how I want it. I can't just glue and go. I even cut out stickers and alpha stickers and arrange them, sad I know, but its how I scrap! Well, I decided to give it a whirl. I did it, but what I feared happening happened. I'm not happy with the layout! I like parts of it, but wish I could push other pieces around a bit. Maybe if I continued to do it, I would be pushed to find ways to overcome the parts I don't like.

Make sure and check back soon! I have a fun little mini to share using the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love Line!

Citrus Tree Studio Challenges

Citrus Tree Studio has a Quick Fire Challenge going on this weekend. Cindy posted a great sketch and you just need to make a card or layout using that sketch and link or post it to that thread! A great prize is up for grabs.

Yes, as I said in a previous post, I struggle with cards. BUT, I am bound and determined to become 'decent' at them! haha! Here I used some fabulous Cosmo Cricket Earth Love papers, chipboard and trims/ribbons. The sentiment is a sticker from SRM.

Of course I had to stitch a little! This card is already in the mail to a friend that is having a rough go with her pregnancy! I remember those days well and remember how much I enjoyed getting cards and gifts in the mail when my DD was in the NICU.
I also wanted to share this layout using We R Memory Keepers Twirl line. This was for Patti's challenge at Citrus Tree Studio which was to use the colors orange and green!
It was just a quick and simple layout. I added the pleated paper on the bottom just to add a little flair since it was so simple.

And last but not least....Guess who likes hamburgers? Yep, that would be the Little Miss. She DOES NOT like you to break it up into little pieces, she wants a bite directly from the hamburger. Yep, my one year old has tried a hamburger before my almost 4 year old! Something is wrong with this picture!

So what does the little man eat? Well, french fries of course! heehee!

Finally Finished

I have had my Creative Cuts and More Treasured Family Recipes Album Kit featuring Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird line on my desk for some time now waiting to finish a couple pages. I haven't decided what recipes I want to put in it, but at least I don't have to save any ,matching products to finish this album.

I liked to keep the pages quick!

I also liked to distress the edges and sew on the pages to help them blend in real well with the others.

This was the last page! To see the rest of my album click here.

All the patterned papers and embellies came from the Creative Cuts and More kit. This was such a fabulous and kit!

We recently took a family outing to Lowe's! I know most of you are probably thinking 'Wahoo (with much sarcasm in your voice)'! We actually find it fun! Call us odd, call us whatever you want, we enjoy dreaming of house projects, decorating and remodeling. We even have gotten into watching HGTV and DIY quite a bit! Anywho, the kiddos were so cute in the gigantic car shopping cart I had to get pictures. Have you ever tried to steer one of those babies? Man, its quite hard!!!

Creative Cuts & More Card

I have another Creative Cuts & More DT project to share today! I am not very good at cards, but I like to embarrass myself, I mean push myself to get better at them. I chose to play with the A2 Twist Card in Bazzill white textured cardstock.

My Brother-In-Law recently proposed to the sweetest girl! I am SO excited she is joining the family and wanted to make them a special card. I used patterend paper, red cardstock and rub-ons from my scrap pile! The rhinestones are Doodlbug Beetle Black Adhesive Jewels which can be found at Creative Cuts & More.

Look who is on the move! Yep, she is quite the explorer these days and gets into EVERYTHING she possibly can!

This picture cracks me up! Here, she was getting into something she wasn't supposed too so I called her by her first and middle name then said "What are you doing.....you little stinker!" Apparently she thinks that is funny! :)

Happy Valentines Day

Chris surprised me today with this gorgeous bunch of flowers! It smells WONDERFUL! Thank you sweetie!

One problem though, I had packed away all my vases! haha! So a tea jar it is!

We bought this Cars folding table for Peyton a while back. He has been enjoying it so much!
He knows he's not supposed to play with our laptop, but how can you get mad at him when he looks so darn cute?

Here we are playing shopping. He charged me $500 for each car I bought! :)

He tries his best to get anyone he can to play games with him! Here he is playing Don't Break the Ice with Uncle Coco.

What does Maddy like to do? Well, she likes to wrestle pillows of course! Its really fun she says, you should try! :)

She also likes to look for and talk to Sedona. I'm not sure why, but she is just fascinated by the dog.

Lack of layouts!

I haven't had much time to scrapbook lately! I'm not liking it either! haha!

I do have a layout I completed quite a while ago for a challenge over at Citrus Tree Studio. It was an Ad challenge. Here is my take on the ad:
I had fun putting this cluster of goodies together. The cute Jenni Bowlin heart journaling spot was given to me by the ever so sweet and talented Patti!
You know how you have some of those layouts you just aren't happy with? Well, this is one of them.

I came across this fabulous scrapbooker, Aphra. You can check out her blog: My Scrappy Life. Today she announced a exciting new venture she is taking. She is start a scrapbook kit company! Its called Paper Poppy Kit Co. Cute name huh? The first kit is going to be reveals March 1st on the Paper Poppy Kit Co. Blog. Make sure to go check it out as she is doing 17 days of GIVEAWAY! Make sure to check it out. This is what the site says about there kits: In addition to traditional scrapbooking products, our kits include vintage, handmade, and other unique embellishments. We also provide tips, techniques, and tutorials on how to add these items to your layouts and projects. Doesn't that sound fantastic?

Thank You, New Blog and Crop

I came across this great blog called The Scrap Farm. If I remember right, I found Melinda cause she designs for Imaginisce. Make sure to check out her blog, it is full of inspiration and eye candy!

I wanted to send her a BIG THANK YOU! I won this fabulous RAK from her:
VERY fun stuff! Thanks Melinda!

Citrus Tree Studio is having a crop coming up! Make sure to save Saturday, March 13 - Monday, March 15, 2010 (noon) for the 'Going Green' crop. The focus of the crop is going green and St. Patricks Day. Cindy has some fabulous prizes up for grabs. Here are just two of them:
Yep, that would be a set of Copics! Wahoo...I've been wanting to play with these, but just can't stomach how much each pen costs.

How cute is this border and corner punch?

You'll definitely want to come play along!

Creative Cuts & More Blog Hop

I'm glad you stopped by today! If you arrived here from Holly's blog you made it to the right place. If you happened to get here from else where make sure to head back to Die Cut Diva where the blog hop begins, you won't want to miss out on any inspiration or fabulous projects!

I saw a pen box made out of coasters a while back. I'm not very into pen boxes but I thought it was really cute. So I decided to make one without a bottom, for a plant! I don't have many Easter decorations and thought this would be perfect!

I used the Coaster Set from Creative Cuts & More. These coasters were nice and thick but soft enough that I could use my eyelet punch easily on them. I altered each coaster, punched two holes on two sides, then I tied them all together with ribbon! It was super quick and simple.

We have been fogged in and/or overcast for a couple weeks now it seems. I haven't been able to get a good picture. I apologize for the dark photos.
Now hop on over to Stephany's blog and see what yummy eye candy she has in store for you!

If for some reason one of the links is broken along the Hop do not worry, HOP back over to Die Cut Diva where the complete list will be. I also have included a complete list below.
The blog hop starts at Die Cut Diva Blog

Ideas for Scrapbookers

Awhile back I posted about a new blog I came across called Ideas for Scrapbookers. I came across a challenge at Scrapbook.com put on by Ideas for Scrapbookers. It was to use non square shaped photos on your layout. Here is my take on the sketch:

I didn't get close ups before I gave this layout to my mom. I added little buttons to the flowers.
Well, I was so excited to find out this morning that I won the challenge! Thank you so much to Pam and the Ideas for Scrapbookers group for choosing my layout! They have another challenge up at scrapbook.com. You can check it out here.

Thank You's and Crazy Kids

For some reason I got this great idea to make all of the Thank Yous to match Maddy's invites. My Cuttlebug sure got a work out! The ladybugs were a Quickutz Die cut and I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Of course, I forgot to take pictures on any of them BEFORE I wrote on them all, so I just blurred out my writing on one of them for the pictures. I almost made these for the invites, but thought the ladybug with opening wings was much more playful.

I wasn't happy with the stamp but didn't have anything else to use. We have no scrapbook store and the nearest store is a Michael's is an hour away. So I had to make do with this stamp.

Maddy is quite the eater. But she is opinionated. She doesn't like to be fed, she likes to feed herself. One BIG problem. She only has two teeth! While trying to feed her cereal with fruit she started doing the motorboat with a mouth full of food. It was cute and funny at first, but now that it is almost a habit, its not cute at all! lol...Anyhow, I do what I normally do, I just get up and walk away before I get too frustrated. Well, Peyton snuck in there and started feeding his sister. He was SO proud of himself!

Maddy wasn't so sure...
I 'm not sure if he got more on the tray or more in her mouth...
