Another Mini!

I have been on a mini kick lately! I really like making them. Here is one I made a couple weeks ago for my cousin who is having a baby in July. She asked if I could make one in red, black and white. It freaked me out at first as I couldn't find any red, white and black. Remember I live in a little little town with no shopping choices. BUT, luckily to some great friends with great stashes I was able to round up enough paper. I have to admit, I'm really liking the color combo.

Two posts in one day!

Wow...I'm on a roll! Two posts in one day! Paper Popsicles had a card sketch challenge on their blog. I thought I'd give it a try. I needed to make a card for my cousins baby shower tomorrow and figured I'd use the great sketch. Here is my take on their sketch.

Goodness....

Goodness...Chris logged onto our bank accounts this morning and asked me what I bought that cleaned out my checking account. I was quite stunned as I hadn't bought anything. Well, I have had a battle going on with Diapers.com. I order diapers from there and long story short...the delivery dude couldn't find my house (hello....could he even find Madras?) and sent the diapers back to diapers.com. Causing me to have to go out and buy diapers that are much more expensive and not the ones I want. Then they resend the order out UPS, who by the way, has never had an issue finding us. Then I realized they credited my account for the order! I didn't feel right not letting them know about it so I called in last night to let them know. They double billed me dang near overdrafting my account! Arrghh...I guess thats what I get for being honest huh? lol...So I called in yet again (I have made at least 10 calls into them now). I have a $15 credit with them now, but just not sure its worth the hassle.

On to more pleasant things. I won a fabulous Clear Scraps mini album from a neat blog a while back. I used the Crate Paper Mia Collection Stacey from All Moments Remember so generously gave me.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Bad Mommy!

Chris realized last night that Maddy turned four months Tuesday! Can you believe it? Man I thought today was the 26th. I can't believe she is 4 months already!

Here are some things about Maddy at 4 months:
  • She is a very good eater...sometimes too good.
  • She is starting to smile a lot, especially for her Papa (Chris).
  • She is scooting and wiggling more and more every day.
  • Her favorite position is on her tummy and thats how she prefers to hang out on the ground and nap.
  • Her favorite toys are her Baby Einstein Jungle Mat thing and her exersaucer.
  • She loves to watch her big brother and he can get her to smile really easy.
  • She is sleeping pretty well at night and has been for some time. Usually goes to bed in between 8:30 and 9:30 and most of the time sleeps til 5:30.
  • She loves to be held.

Great weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend. We camped in a new area this year and I really liked it. We drove out through Simnashio. It was a very pretty drive. I loved seeing all the pretty wild horses along the way. There were a ton of them.

Maddy woke up the first morning all smiles, I think she like camping and I know she LOVES our bed (where she took her naps).

We took a little drive and when I looked back to see how Maddy was doing she was staring at Peyton with a big ole smile on.
We camped near a pond and Peyton LOVED to walk up to or ride his bike to it and either fish or throw rocks in it.

I am so glad Chris's brothers were able to make it with their girlfriends. They were a HUGE help with Peyton. Peyton just loves them to death! He some how convinced them all to ride his scooter with him while he rode his bike. Below is Peyton and his Uncle Adam doing laps around camp.

Peyton often got his Uncle Coco and Amanda to walk up to the pond with him.

Hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend!

Here is a layout I finished yesterday using Bo Bunny Alissa set from Memory Works. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this line! I left the journaling spot open as I wanted to put some thought into it and reflect back on my pregnancy.

I hope everyone has a fun & safe weekend!

Two Challenges!

I managed to complete two challenges for Citrus Tree. The first layout is for the color challenge. I just love the picture of Peyton holding Maddy;s hand. He is so amazingly sweet, I hope he stays that way. He will still hold her hand in the truck and is always giving her hugs and kisses. He compliments her outfits and says things like "Hi baby sister, goochy goochy goo!" and "I love you so much".

This next layout was for the sketch challenge. The sketch was created by the fabulously talented Tammydee! KariAnn did a layout not to long ago that I just loved. She did some photo editing and added descriptive words on a picture of her daughter. I just love how it came out. I used rub-ons on mine as I don't have a great photo editing program and didn't want to take the time to play around with the program I have.

What do you think?

Here is Miss Maddy at 3 1/2 months in her exersaucer.

Here is Peyton at 4 months in his exersaucer.

Do you think they look a lot alike?

Mini Busy

I have been busy making mini albums. One for my cousin, which I can't post til after her baby shower as she peeks at my blog every so often and another baby album one, which my pictures didn't come out to well on it. Here is part of it that came out okay in the pictures.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

SWEET!

I have been on the hunt for an exersaucer for Maddy. Chris e-mailed me yesterday and asked me if I wanted to borrow one from one of his friends. Of course I e-mailed back as fast as I could...YES! Thank you, thank you thank you Nathan and Andrea. You guys rock! Maddy just LOVES the exersaucer. She is still pretty small for it but I just pack her in with a blanket! Just look at those cheeks! She is definitely my chunky monkey right now!

Finally...

I'm finally starting to scrap some of Maddy's pictures. I remember struggling with Peyton's baby pictures as I wanted them to be PERFECT! Well, I'm working on getting over that with Maddy's and just scrapping them. This is our first picture together (Chris, Maddy & I) and was taken right before Maddy was taken to the NICU. I remember being so happy that they allowed me to hold her before taking her to the NICU as I was warned that I may not get to hold her at all.

I have followed Triple the Sketch for some time now. Their prize this week is sponsored by Elle's Studio, which I just happen to LOVE. So I figured I better start participating. Here is the layout I created off of the sketch they gave:

These were some older pics of Peyton that I just loved because of his HUGE smile!

One of my cousins is pregnant and due in July! We are having a baby shower for here the end of this month. I decided to get a little creative with the invitations and saw these on-line and couldn't resist them. All the info for the shower is on the back of them. Thank goodness for my Coluzzle (circle cutting template). I'm so sad that they are no longer making templates.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day Mom! I've had these cards done for a while, but wanted to wait to post them just in case my mom checked my blog.

I made quite a few of these waterfall cards. One for the grandmas and moms. I came across them on a blog somewhere and googled instructions. They said to stamp images, but I thought pictures would be cuter.

Yesternight

Peyton is at such a fun age. We have been having all sorts of fun conversations. Here are a couple of them.

He has been saying 'yesternight' a lot lately. This morning as we were playing with his puzzles he told me "Yesternight I went fishing and thought I caught a fish, but just caught a worm." I asked him where he went fishing and he told me "I go fishing in the pool."

He also said "yesternight I saw a worm at Mema's in a puddle." I said, "really, thats cool.' He said "It was squished." I asked him if Grandpa ran over it. He said, "No, grandpa only ran over the rocks."

I told him "You are so cute I could just eat you up!". He replied, "No Mommy, I not a chicken, when I a chicken you can eat me up."
In this picture he decided to get himself stuck in the coffee table.

Monday, Monday!

Man am I tired today. Everyone I talk to seems to be really tired also.

I was able to finish two more layouts yesterday afternoon. I saw a really cute layout on the Bo Bunny blog and new right away I wanted to scrap it. I wish I could say I came up with the idea, but I didn't.

For this layout I used a sketch from PageMaps, it was the Sunday Bonus Challenge for the Scrap 4 Life NSD Crop.

Scrappy Machine!

I was a scrappin' machine over the weekend and loved every moment of it! A HUGE thank you to my parents who kept Peyton and Maddy overnight. Maddy was quite fussy and didn't take it very easy on them I guess. I greatly appreciate some 'me' time though. Tammy came over Saturday to scrap with me. It was a lot of fun to have some girl scrappy time with no kids and no time limits!

So, without further ado, here are some of my layouts from the weekend. Yes...Kimmy & Teri...I used PINK!!!!!

I used some of my new My Minds Eye goodies from the Memory Works NSD special. I can't tell you how much this kit ROCKS! I am tempted to buy a second one I like it so much.

I love Peyton in his little wranglers and cowboy hat.

The pictures are of my brother and Maddy and Jazzy.

These pictures are from this years Metolious Carnival. Peyton had a blast.

Peyton loves my Mom's popcorn balls. He fell asleep eating one, but every time I tried to take it from him so he didn't get it on the couch he woke up and got mad at me.
This was for a scraplift. I scraplifted Stacey. I found these pictures on my parents computer and thought they were so cute. They were taken when we lived in Albany and he had just started walking.

Peyton likes to play Guitar Hero with Papa. Isn't this paper cool, its the Glitz Rebel line.

Its saturday, but I figured I'd do this anyways. So instead of Friday Fill-ins its Saturday Fill-ins. The bold is what I filled in.

1. The first rule of working in an office and getting along is minding your own business.

2. I am not a big fan of clams.

3. When I think of carnivals I think of creepy carnys.

4. Lilies my favorite spring flower.

5. Things on my desk include scrappy supplies.

6. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to more scrapping, tomorrow my plans include my birthday lunch!

I have gotten quite a few layouts done and will share some of them with you all tomorrow! Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Quick Fire Challenge

Just wanted to share a card I made today for a Quickfire Challenge at Citrus Tree. If you haven't checked out that site yet you should! The girls are oh so nice and always have me laughing. A Quickfire challenge is a challenge that is usually posted on a Friday and you have til Sunday to get it done.

Scrap 4 Life is having a crop for National Scrapbook Day! Come and join us! I love all of the challenges. The kiddos have cooperated with me today and I've been able to complete two layouts and the card! WAHOO!!! I just love it when Maddy takes a 4 hour nap.

Chris is taking me to Shoji's for dinner tonight! I am so excited, their food is SO good! We are going with 3 other couples. Tomorrow my mom is taking the kiddos for the day and night (THANK YOU MOM!!!) and I get to scrap to my hearts content! Sunday my mom is making a lasagna dinner for a family get together for my birthday (which is actually NSD, how cool is that?)! Isn't my mom amazing? Watching both kids most of the day and over night and still having a birthday dinner for me. This woman is amazing.
