Bo Bunny Challenge

I've been wanting to participate in Bo Bunny's challenges and finally was able too! Here is my take off of their sketch!

Can't believe this is my second post in one day! Don't forget to take a peek at my post from this morning, here!

More From my Paper Popsicles Kit!

I had so much fun with the July kit from Paper Popsicles Melissa sent me to play with! I was honored to be chosen for the July GDT spot! Melissa has fantastic kits and really great prices. I saw sneak peeks for next month and you guys won't want to miss out on them! Check out here store here.

I had fun with this layout! I used ADORNit paper from a July Kit as well as a Daisy D Rub on.

Here I used some fun new ADORNit paper from a July kit. I have started leaving greeting spots open so I can just stamp it real quick and go. I seem to never have a card ready with the right saying. I also like to have a some that don't have a greeting at all.
In the kit were some fun Little Yellow Bicycle Clear Cuts frames. These are so much fun! I thought it might be kinda fun to cut them up and use them on cards and it was!

Here is a card I created using a sketch made by Amy on the Paper Popsicles blog. I used some really fun ADORNit paper for it that also came from a July kit.

For this layout I used a sketch from Feeling Scrappy! The flowered paper is Little Yellow Bicycle Zinnia, the striped paper and alpha stickers are from GCD Studios and the flowers are from SEI. I used this layout for a challenge over at Citrus Tree Studio also.

Pics

Well, I have a ton to share! I finished another layout and a few new cards I'll share tomorrow after I get the pictures edited.

Here are a couple pictures of Chris and Peyton on the 4th of July playing on the slip n slide. Notice who is on the slide and who is standing FAR away watching! Haha!
Chris is such a goofball sometimes. Gotta love his 'pose' slide!

This is why Mommy tells Peyton to not bite at his sippy cup lid...it does pop off!

I just love this picture of Maddy. I think she looks great in green and love how her eyes just pop out in this picture! She's my blue eyed girl!
It has been so hot and poor Peyton just drips after playing outside for a while. He's got a hot head like his Papa. We decided to give him a buzz cut. I wasn't sure what I thought at first, but now I like it. He looks so much older without the longer hair! That night he almost started crying when he got tired and went to play with it. He said, "Where did my hair go...I want it back!"

Behind

Wow, I didn't realize how behind I was at maintaining my pictures! I don't even have any July photos uploaded? Wasn't last weekend the 4th? haha! I will try to tackle that tomorrow. I know I have some great photos of the kiddos I was wanting to share!

Fun Card!

I was honored to be chosen to be the Guest Designer for July at Paper Popsicles. I had so much fun playing with all the goodies and still have a ton left to play with! Melissa sells these really fun shaped cards! I received the tree and almost instantly the saying 'hang in there' popped into my head. The monkey came from my stash (its so old I don't remember who made it). The papers are ADORNit Fern's Collection.

Sharing others work!

We too a trip with Chris's family to Lincoln City this week. We pulled our trailer and camped from Saturday to Wednesday. It was a lot of fun. We have a beach boy on our hands. Peyton just LOVED playing in the sand. Someday I will get the pictures downloaded onto my computer so I can share them with you! haha...

We are now out of the house we just sold. The outdoors stuff is still there as well as the shed items. This morning we are going over to clean and fill up the horse trailer again (Thanks Uncle Jo & Aunt Mary, that trailer has been wonderful!). Our garage at the place we are renting is jam packed. I have quite the bit of work ahead of me.

Since I don't have time to create and I thought I would share some projects created by a couple friends with you.

This layout is created by by the ever so talented Tammy. Isn't is just a stunning layout! The photo Tammy took looks like something you'd see in a magazine. You can see more incredible layouts by Tammy here.

This cake is made by Jen. Isn't it just the cutest cake ever? You can see more of Jens work here.

I haven't had any scrappy time this past week! **Insert crying here**. So I thought I'd share a few recent pictures.

Peyton still asks to hold Maddy. Sometimes its okay with her and sometimes its not. It usually doesn't last too long as Peyton thinks she's too heavy.

Maddy is now grabbing on to everything in her reach and putting it in her mouth! She thinks the pig on the exersaucer is quite delicious!

Memory Works has a fabulous deal right now.
All this awesome 29th Street Market stuff from My Minds Eye for only $29.95! There are over 300b pieces and it’s valued at over $100 worth of stuff! What a great deal, huh?

The kit contains 34 sheets of 12X12 double-sided cardstock paper plus over 270 mix & match accessory pieces including titles, journaling cards, die cuts, and transparencies.
Last time Memory Works had a smokin' deal like this they sold out really fast (48 hours if I remember right!) So don't delay if you are wanting one! To order yours click here. It submits the order for me and I send a PayPal invoice to you!

Busy, busy, busy

We finally sold our house! Whoop, whoop! It hasn't closed, but will this week. So I am busy packing up the house and packing for a family reunion we are going to soon! I am unfortunately packing up a lot of my scrappy stuff today. I will be taking some scrappy stuff with me to the family reunion in hopes for a few moments to be creative! Here are a couple layouts and cards from a while back I wanted to share.

Here are some cards I made using a Scenic Route line.

I can't seem to get enough of the About A Boy line by Fancy Pants. I can't remember what they are called, but I used a clear 12x12 sheet that had the fun blue/green and orange printed on it. So I just layered a few pieces of scraps under the photo and put the clear sparkly title on it and called it good. Sorry for the bad picture.

I used the Rebel line from Glitz on this layout. I won it off of their blog quite a while ago. Isn't it a fun line? If you like it, you should check out Citrus Tree's June Kit.

We Have a Winner!

Thank you to everyone that dropped by this weekend for the Paper Popsicles blog hop. It was a ton of fun and I hope you enjoyed the eye candy.

Now...for the blog candy....congrats to Monique...you're the winner from my blog. Please log into the Paper Popsicles message board and send a PM to Melissa and let her know you were the winner from my blog...she'll get your prize out to you!!!

Thank you again and keep you eyes open for detail on our next blog hop.
I feel so lucky to be able to be the guest designer for July at Paper Popsicles. I received a box full of goodies from Melissa the end of last week. Here are two layouts I created over the weekend of Miss Madeline in the NICU.

This one the journaling talks about how hard it was to see Maddy hooked up to all the machines and monitors. The feeding tube was the worst.

We were so thrilled to learn that we could take Maddy home! She had to past a stress test, where they put her in her carseat and monitored her for over an hour to make sure she could handle it.

If you are joining me from Stacey's blog great...you are hopping right along...if you just stumbled upon my blog...you won't want to miss a thing, so hop on over to the Paper Popsicles blog to get you started.

For this fun project you just cover a box or piece of wood with paper (I used My Minds Eye Paper). I then chalked a wood clothes pin and glued it to the box. The next step was to embellish it. I got the adorable sun as a digital image from the Paper Popsicles store. Isn't it cute? I colored it using my Sakura Glaze pens then went over it with some dimensional glaze to make it look like a epoxy sticker. I used it to hold a photo, but you could use it to corral your coupons and/or grocery list, to do list, receipts, etc.
The photo holder somehow got me to this:

I used an magnet we received as an advertisement. I then cut up a couple sheets of white cardstock and printed the list lines on them. I clamped them together and used a hot glue gun to glue them all together (that idea actually came from the ever so creative Stacey on Paper Popsicles). I took a flower and folded it in half, gluing it to the top. I left a loop for a pencil/pen and there you have it! An attractive to do list!

Did you know that the Paper Popsicles blog features a new card challenge every Wednesday?

Yesterday I heard howling (Chris says Maddy sounds like a Hound Dog when she coos) coming from Maddy's room and figured she was up from her nap. This is what I saw:

Paper Popsicles Challenge - Edited

I am editing todays post. I just visited the Cosmo Cricket Blog. Todays post is just another reason I love that company so much! Please check it out and participate if you can! I know I am participating!

Since I am guest designer at Paper Popsicles this month I thought it would be fun to post a challenge. Lately I have been trying to make cards with the scraps I had left over from a layout instead of throwing the pieces away or putting them in my 'scraps' folder never to be seen again!

Here is my layout. I used two pieces of Scenic Route double sided paper and a piece of green cardstock.

Here are the cards I made. I left one blank as it seems I never have the right greeting or saying on a card. This way when an occasion arises, I can slap something on there real quick and be done!

Don't forget to check back Saturday morning, Paper Popsicles is having a blog hop!

Also, Citrus Tree Studio is having a crop July 25th & July 26th! They are a ton of fun and Cindy has some incredible prizes! You won't want to miss this crop!

Correction, prize and YEAH!

Lol...how is that for a title? First of all, I had the Citrus Tree Christmas in July Crop dates off. It is actually July 25th and 26th! Oops! Sorry about that one! I'm not sure why I thought it was all week!

You know its a good day when the UPS man drives up and hands over a Cosmo Cricket box! If you haven't checked out the Cosmo Cricket Blog you should! It is one of my favorite blogs. Cosmo Cricket is one of the best companies out there. They are positive, a ton of fun and sell FANTASTIC product. I was a lucky winner last week and received this:
A Early Bird Kit. I have been wanting this kit SSSSOOOO bad! I can't wait to get to play with it!
I am really into mini albums at the moment. I just love this blackboard album called Kate.

Thank you Cosmo Cricket!

Not sure how come I haven't mentioned it before but I am the Guest Designer this month at Paper Popsicles! How cool is that? I'm so excited. This is a great site and you should see the store prices! Here is my take on this months card challenge, which was to use the colors orange and yellow:

A Few Oldies!

I thought since I couldn't share any new projects I am working on that I would share a couple of my favorite older ones. Here they are:
I think this was a stamping challenge. I stamped the swirls/flourishes on the brown paper and in the corner of the purple paper.

This one is using one of my favorite lines from Fancy Pants.

I hardly ever scrap layouts just about me. This is my only one and it was for a challenge. I am so glad I did it.

While doing my normal blog surfing, I checked A Spoon Full of Sugar blog. She had posted a question asking us what our favorite projects right now are and if we could post a link to them. I sent her a link to a couple of my mini albums, as I can't seem to make enough of them lately. She posted a link to one of them! How cool is that? You can see the mini album she linked to here! Cool huh? It just made my day!

Bad Mommy

I felt like such a bad mommy when I didn't remember to get a picture of Maddy at 5 months. We've been busy and time is just moving at lightning speed! Here is Maddy at 4 weeks:

And here she is at 5 months!

  • Weighs in at a whoppin' 17 lbs. 6 oz.
  • Is cooing up a storm.
  • Loves to sit up and watch Peyton.
  • Loves to smile at her big brother and Papa.
  • Is starting to laugh.
  • Is starting to figure out her hands.

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

I tried taking picture of this a couple times and just gave up. I love this picture of Chris and Peyton. It was taken on one of Peytons visits to the NICU. I LOVE this line by Fancy Pants. Its one of my all time favorites and I recently found some more!
I thought the two younger cousins would have fun going to the park. Silly me tossed in my single jogger instead of the double. Luckily Callie was kind enough to let Peyton sit on her lap. That poor stroller struggled a little and whined as we went. But we made it!

They had fun! And of course, a picture of Maddy! I thought this was a cute one. I love her chubby cheeks!
