I'm a thrift shop and garage sale junky! I'm always looking for things to alter or re-do to work in my house for a fraction of the price of something brand new. While at a local thrift store in December, I came across this:

This was my vision:

I used black paint as I didn't have any dark brown. I painted a small section on, and then wiped it off with a rag to get a distressed look and let some of the lighter would show through a bit. I got inspiration for the different section from tags and cards from the super talented Jan!
