Birds of a Feather Card & Green Challenge

Good Friday morning! I hope you all have a fun weekend in line for you! Today I wanted to share a card I made using the March Birds of a Feather Kit.
Lately I have been making cards and leaving them blank. I like doing this as I always seem to have a good card on hand. This way I can just add the sentiment I want right before mailing it!
I love the looks of the pleating!
I have a tutorial I will be posting soon on the pleating. But if you can't wait, head over to the Birds of a Feather Message Board. You'll find the tutorial in my forum under in the Guest Designers section!

Now onto a challenge. The Paper Variety had a really fun blog hop going on the beginning of this week. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, there is still time! Plus there are TONS of goodies up for grabs! :-) Who doesn't like some blog candy! Their challenge this week is to create a project using at least 50% green. My mom is a teacher. Aide/assistant day (I can't remember exactly what it is) is coming up. We thought these little altered notepads would be perfect!
I made this one specifically for the Paper Variety Challenge. My super talented and oh so sweet friend Patti sent me some of these fabulous felt flowers and then felt to make my own! How cool is that!!! I'm addicted to them. So fun and quick and CUTE! Thank you again Patti! Make sure to check out Patti's blog too! She is a designer for Paper Variety and has a fantastic layout as well as a YUMMY blog candy up for grabs!

Thanks for stopping by! I truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by my blog!

Not to sound weird or anything Kay...but I wish I could give you a hug!! You're such a doll!!! What I like most about your card is the pleating and I must remind myself to steal - I mean, lift, your pleating technique. :) I really like a card w/out a sentiment on the front too. Then you can just write a note on the inside and personalize it there. Your little notebooks are so cute...and who wouldn't want one to keep in their purse? Sweet felt flowers!! :) :) love ya, kay!!!

What a beautiful card, Kayla! :) I love a card without a sentiement-especially good when you're in a pinch! Those little notebooks are the best! Thanks for sharing them with us at The Paper Variety! (and that Patti is just the best, isnt she?) :)
