Easter Layout and Garage Sale Find

I used a sketch from Pam over at Ideas for Scrapbookers for this layout. I don't often have layouts that I really like, but for some reason I really like how this one came out! I kept waiting to find some fun Easter papers. Well that never happened and I thought these papers would be perfect!

Its kinda hard to see, but I fussy cut little circles out of one of the patterned papers to make a butterfly flight trail.

I am getting so excited for garage sale season! I have already been to a few this year! I love it that freezing weather doesn't stop people from having them! Check out what I found over the weekend:
I'm going to alter it and use it in Maddy's room. I think it would be fun to sit on her dresser. And wouldn't these be cute sitting in it?

I found this great blog called Tatertots and Jello. Cute blog name, huh? They posted a tutorial on how to make these Monday! Girly and frilly huh....y'all surprised I'd make something like this? I sure am!

Scrap A Littles March Challenge

Helen has posted her March challenge over at Scrap A Little. This months challenge is one of my favorites types of challenges...a sketch challenge! Here is Helen's fabulous sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:

Here is a close up of my flowers. I saw these somewhere...can't remember the manufacturer and I thought, 'those would be so easy to make'. I gave it a try and I think they turned out to be a lot of fun! You'll definitely be seeing more of them in the future. I just twisted a pipe cleaner into a flower shape and glued a brad on!

Now make sure to head over to Scrap A Little and play along! There is a fabulous prize up for grabs. Scrap For a Cure is this months sponsor and they have a pack up super fun goodies together (can you say Dear Lizzy?)!

Creative Cuts & More March Blog Hop

Hi blog hoppers! If your just arriving at my site, make sure to start out at Die Cut Diva, you don't want to miss out on any inspiration our Designers have in store for you!

The CC&M Celebrating Women Blog Hop starts at Die Cut Diva. If for some reason one of the links is broken along the Hop do not worry, HOP back over to Die Cut Diva where the complete list will be.

I used the Standing Pop-Up Card. These are so much fun! I'm addicted to using pictures for everything and thought this would be perfect! I simply adhered some Imaginisce Twitterpated Paper to the stand or card base. I then adhered the card together and added a picture. I used Imaginisce Twitterpated Rub-on on white paper and cut around them. I adhered Imaginisce Twitterpated ribbon then the rub-ons. It was as quick and simple as that!

Wouldn't these make great little treats for Grandma's for Easter?
Now hop on over the Jennifer Hansen's Blog as see what kinda treat she has for you!

Just in case you get lost along the way, here is the line up:

More House Pictures

Okay, I've had lots of requests for inside pictures. I took some today, but beware, I was too lazy to remove the clutter that has already started! :)

As you walk in my front door, this is what you see:

A view from the corner of the entryway. I just LOVE the opening from the kitchen to the living room!
Here is the another shot from the corner of the living room towards the front door:

Here is my kitchen...like I said, pardon the mess! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hickory cabinets!
Yes we have a fridge, we just haven't gotten it there yet. Can I say Craigslist ROCKS! We found a KILLER deal on a stainless steal fridge on Craigslist. It was the style (french double door with freezer on bottom) that I didn't think we'd be able to get on our budget...but we did!
Another view of my kitchen: Side note, why on the world would you put in a white sink when all your appliances are stainless steel? Yes, the sink may be brand new....but its going to be changed out in the near future (near as in a year....lol...)!
This would be our eentsy weentsy dining area...haha! I'm anxious to see our new (well new to us cause I like Craigslist WAY to much!) table in this area!
That doorway leads to a hall. If you hook a right it takes you to our bedroom and if you go straight there is a powder room, laundry and door to the garage.

Peytons room before we started painting:
Maddy's room before painting:

Now are ya ready for this one? You may call us crazy....you may say 'what in the world were you thinking', you may say 'are you crazy', you may say 'poor kids'....haha!

Now are you sure you are ready for this?
Okay, here it is....
These are the kids rooms part way through the paint. We'll be putting white chair railing up between the two colors.

Peytons room:

Maddy's room:The purple doesn't show up all so well in the pictures, but it looks FABULOUS in real life!

See, I wondered if you'd be ready! haha! It took me a lot longer than I thought to scrub the bathrooms, vacuum the base boards and carpets and where they meet, and wipe down the cupboards in the kitchen and other rooms. Chris painted most of the day and put up shelving in the pantry and got the garage door opener up. More work tomorrow and then hopefully we'll be ready for our big move next week!
So there ya got it. More pictures!
Now for those of you looking for scrapbooking related posts...no worries. I have a few posts up my sleeves so check back soon! Make sure you stop by on the 8th. I'll be participating in a fun blog hop!

Moving...again!

Yep, we are on the move again! This will be our 9th move in just over 7 years! I'm hoping its the last one for quite a few years too. We plan on going in this weekend and cleaning, painting and doing some odds and ends. Then we will move everything over next weekend!

I plan on actually decorating this house! We've moved so much that I really haven't attempted my hand at decorating. But I've been getting all sorts of ideas from HGTV and blogs. I'll be sharing before and after photos along my journey!
I have a layout to share soon for Scrap A Little and will be participating in a Blog Hop for Creative Cuts and More so check back soon for those!

Memory Works Simple Stories

A while back I posted about Memory Works new line called Simple Stories. I have now played with it and love it! I also bought it for my mom for her birthday and caught her playing with it recently!

Here are a few pages I've made using the kit. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors of this kit! I also really like how I can just cut out a piece of decorative paper and slip it right into the page protector.

I had a friend ask me about kits. She was wanting to create a baby album but didn't know where to start and didn't really even know if she had time to get into scrapbooking. I thought the pre-divided pages would be perfect for her. Here are a few pages I did using my scraps and pre-divided pages from Memory Works.

I am a Memory Works rep. and would love to help you order the Simple Stories system if your interested. I don't currently have a site, but can get ya all set up if you e-mail me at mustangkayla at hotmail dot com.
Here are the links to the products I have mentioned:

Little Miss really likes stairs. The only problem is she likes to go head first. We are really going to have to work on this technique seeing as we are moving to a two-story house in a couple weeks!
