Paper Poppy Kit Co. August Sketch

The August Sketch Challenge had been posted at Paper Poppy Kit Co. I had a lot of fun creating this layout using the June Paper Poppy kit.

My sister-in-law took this picture at a get-together at the beginning of summer. I thought it was so so so cute! This is the Little Miss and her great grandparents.

I looked for a neat quote and found this one. Grandparents are the footsteps to the future generations. I thought it just perfect and had a great key word for a title for this photo.
The Adornit alpha stickers are the only thing not from the kit. I outlined the flowers to make them stand out a little more. The layout is missing something but I can't think of what else to do. I'm happy with how it looks, but still feel like I could add something. So I'm calling it good for now. :-)
I have been super busy the past 7 days. I have totally neglected my blog. I have a few layouts and a ton of pictures to share so I hope you'll stop back by soon!

My Minds Eye Layout

I saw this layout by the ever so talented Jan and knew I wanted to lift it. Isn't it super cute?
Well, this is what I came up with...
I love this picture of my dad with the kiddos. Although they are all wearing OSU clothing, it wasn't planned!

Here is the little miss...she is quite the explorer.

She loves to play with the rocks in my parents driveway.

We gotta watch her close though, cause she ups and takes off quicker than quick!

Have a great day!

Bo Bunny Layout

I have another layout to share today! I made this one a while back, just got around to sharing it. I used a Bo Bunny line and some embellies I have had for a while.
I love this picture of my kiddos with their cousin! I've gotten to really like the EK Success large scallop punch I have!

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrap-A-Little

Helen at Scrap-A-Little just posted her August sketch.

I gotta say, this is one of my favorite sketches of Helen's so far.
AND one of my favorite layouts using Helen's sketches so far.
I've been itching to use these super cute and fun We R Memory Keepers paper for a while now.
I did a little machine stitching on the sun rays to add a little oomph. I had fun using a bunch of my buttons I 'just had to have' too. :-)
Almost as soon as Maddy started crawling she started climbing. She'd get one let up on the end table and scream like not other! haha! OR she would somehow get herself stuck in her exersaucer. Yep, she is a mover thats for sure!
Thanks for stopping by!

Layout using Fancy Pants

I took the kids to the park this morning and ran some projects to be entered into the local fair. After that I had no motivation and decided I needed some 'me' time. Although I had 101 interruptions, lots of screaming and crying to distract me, I suffered through my minute here and minute there and got a layout done.

This layout is for a challenge here to use only Fancy Pants Papers. It's also for a challenge here, to use This Kiss by Faith Hill as inspiration.
I feel like it isn't quite done. I wish I wouldn't be so lazy as some stitching on the bottom right part would be neat. Maybe some doodling or journaling around the sun rays.

The flowers were cut using a Cuttlebug Die and layered. The butterflies were from a Martha Stewart punch.
Thanks for stopping by!

SCORE!!!! And Cosmo Cricket Layout

First off, I hit a jackpot of a garage sale. I got Maddy 6 pair of pants (mostly jeans), 8 tops, 1 pair of brand new winter boots, 3 shoes (one brand new), 2 pairs o f pj's, 1 pair of tights, 1 pair of mittens and a hat for $20! Oh, and that included a super cute and nice OSU Nike jog suit for my brother's little one. Although I may just try to squeeze the little Miss in! Yep, I LOVE my garage sales! Best way to cloth your child on a budget!

Well, this layout worked for two different challenges. One here and one here. Both challenge required to use mostly Cosmo Cricket. One required stitching. The other required to scrap your scrapbook addiction, use three pieces of patterned paper, a punch and the negative of that punch.
I used the corner rounder punch. The red shapes hold the negative of the punches. I then drew little stitches in as I was too lazy to actually hand stitch all of those. Oh, and before I forget, I got the shape idea off of a template from Ideas for Scrapbookers!
Here is a close up. I matted the patterned paper to give it a little oomph.

I am addicted to Cosmo Cricket! They are such an incredibly company! LOVE LOVE LOVE their products. And on top of that you don't get more fun than Lindsay and Julie (and Eric and the other behind the scenes I haven't met too, I'm sure you all are a hoot). If you haven't checked out their blog you should.

I have been spending more time in the car and/or truck since we moved. I love it when Chris drives and I can interact with the kids more.
Maddy often wants to hold her stuffed animal or baby doll while she has her bottle or bowl of snacks.
And Peyton...well the poor kid gets car sick. So he does all he can to not puke! lol...
