5 Random Things

1. Lisa Falduto is starting out on a new venture. If you haven't checked out her blog, make sure you do. Here is a link to her gallery. She is so incredibly talented. 3. Peytons Birthday is today! I can't believe my baby boy is 4! I sent some frosted cookies to preschool with him today for a 'special treat'. We are going out to dinner with some friends at a pizza place that has a HUGE play area for kids tonight. We aren't having his birthday til this Saturday. I'll be doing a special post just for him sometime soon. He loves seeing his picture on my blog! :)

4. A few pictures to share:

Peyton just LOVES his sister (most of the time...haha). Sometimes she's okay with it, sometimes she's not.

5. Terry at Creative Cuts & More asked me to create a waterfall card for her. I used some yummy Cosmo Cricket papers, ribbon and chipboard to decorate it. These make such great cards for Mother's Day (hint, hint...its come up...are you ready?)!

I wrapped little candy bars in paper. I could have added a few more candy bars, but they seem to have disappeared!

Creative Cuts & More Scalloped Circles

I am so addicted to these scalloped circles from Creative Cuts & More. This layout was for a challenge at Citrus Tree last month.

These pictures crack me up. Chris and Peyton are chatting with family via live video cam.

Welcome to my crib!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Time sure got away with me this month! I was only able to complete two challenges at Citrus Tree Studio. This is the layout I did for Patti's challenge which was to make your layout shimmer and shine.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the purple and green color combo.

I wanted to journal about Maddy and her crib. While I was pregnant with her I worried that she wouldn't like her crib. Peyton never liked his crib and that was a HUGE battle we had with him. I feared Maddy would be the same way. We got lucky and it turns out she LOVES her crib. She sleeps best in her crib. Its her safe place, her place to relax and reset herself (also known as attitude adjuster or time-out, haha).

Happy Easter

Warning, this is a picture heavy post. I just wanted to share a bunch of pictures of the Easter going-ons with you!

If this picture doesn't crack you up, I'm not sure what will. This is what happens when you have too many Peeps! heehee!
I have been having the hardest time getting Peyton to pose for pictures lately. I wanted to get pictures so I could do a layout with his love of Peeps. This is my little marshmallow boy!

See, more proof he just won't pose nicely for a picture. We dyed Easter eggs Thursday night.

What did Maddy do? Guess.....lol...she sat in her high chair and had a snack!

Peyton still really likes stickers, so I bought a kit that came with stickers he could put on the eggs.

Ray's grocery store has a annual egg hunt. They have certain isles for certain age groups. Peyton was a little overwhelmed here. First off it was REALLY crowded and secondly he didn't understand it was okay to grab the eggs. He knows he can't just grab stuff off the shelves, so it kinda through him for a loop. There was another dad making a big deal about the parents in the isles. But Peyton did get a handful of eggs. It was really hard to get pictures.
Luckily my mom was there also and took Maddy to her isle and picked up a few eggs for her. She really hadn't a clue and didn't care much about it at all.

There was also a egg hunt at the local park. They had some games set up, a food booth and a few other things.

Peyton loves to play games like this.

Somehow I ended up with Peyton inside the egg hunt area. Next year Chris will definitely be the one. Too many people, too much chaos, too many rude parents. Here I was coaching Peyton to run across the area to where Chris and my dad were. They were there encouraging him to grab eggs. The picture was taken before 3 sets of parents stood right in front of us blocking us in! Yep...rude!

This pictures just cracks me up!

He finally figured it out and had a lot of fun grabbing the eggs!

Cute Easter Project

I came across this idea on the Tombow blog. I knew I had to try it. I wasn't sure who I was going to give it to, but Chris gave me a great idea. The Easter Bunny will be delivering it to a friends front porch Sunday morning (I think the friends are gone...).

The bottom layer is crushed graham crackers, then peeps, some brown sugar to keep the peeps in shape and top off with M&M's. Its as easy as that.

I glued patterned paper to the lid to jazz it up a bit and glued a fabulous flower made by the super talented Pam to the lid.

Last weekend we picked up my Grandparents piano. It is pretty darn out of tune, but we have been having so much fun playing it! I have missed my piano playing a lot more than I realized. I have been sitting down at it at least once a day. Peyton and even Maddy have really enjoyed it too. Maddy found a broken/sticky key and is pretty fascinated by it. I sure hope the neighbors can't hear us. Not only are we out of tune but all three of us are playing different tunes! :0)
