Trying something new

I got my first bottle of Smooch! Well, my first bottle of any type of spray. I used a friends Glimmer Mist and wasn't impressed with it. I also used a friends Maya Mist and it was better than the Glimmer Mist. I won a gift certificate to Scrapbook.com and decided to give it a try! I used Helen's Sketch #15.

We have had horrible lighting here lately, so sorry for the bad picture. This style is new for my, not the norm. I'm not sure I'm diggin' it. It was fun trying something new though!

Challenge Layout

Citrus Tree's April Guest Designer challenged us to use a package as inspiration for a layout. I used a tub of Jif as my inspiration.
These pictures just crack me up. Chris took one of the little kids bikes at my mom for a spin! Peyton thought it was pretty cool that Papa was riding bikes and scooters with them. :)
I just love this BoBunny line! Love the colors and masculine feel to it!

Here Maddy is whining for her necklace that Chris just took away from her. I gave it to her and she instantly looks at Chris and leans into him for a hug. I just love her smile she has on!

Yep, pretty darn happy she got her way. but how can you say 'no' to that face?

Peyton has just been full of it lately. He wanted this chipmunk shirt SSSOOO bad. I do not like shirts like this, I'm more of a plain jane type of girl. Well, unfortunately for me, Peyton does. :( He was SO excited to wear his new 'chickmunk' shirt and sunglasses he got for his birthday! So excited he couldn't stand still for a photo!

Belli Challenge

Creative Cuts & More (CCM) is this weeks Creative Belli Challenge Blog Sponsor. Terry at CCM, generously provided all the Belli Girls with various die cuts to use from her FABULOUS Birthday Kit for this challenge. The challenge: to create a birthday card. The point of Belli challenge is to use up your stash. Buy something last year and have it screaming to be used? Now is the time to pull it out! Everything in the first two cards came from the Birthday Girl Card Kit from Creative Cuts and More. Now, I'm not a experienced card maker and often struggle with them. But this kit made it super simple. It was so much fun to play with!

I did a little distressing and drew on some stitch marks using my Unibal Signo pen.
Here is my second card.

My last card. The pink scalloped journaling spot came from my stash, everything else is from the kit!

Creative Cuts & More Project and a Giveaway

I have a fun project to share today. I got this cute Square Box with Square Window from Creative Cuts & More.

I thought it would be fun to put a little mini inside.
I love this flower. I inked the edges and went over it with some Crackle medium from Ranger. I think it gives it a fun look.
The flower center is a sticker that I covered with Liquid Glass.
One of my husbands co-workers is moving away. I thought this would be perfect for her. The front is perfect for a few pictures and all the co-workers could sign the back. A great little memento to send her off with!
Have you guys visited The Scrap Farm Blog? Well, if you haven't, you should! Melinda is doing a HUGE give-away right now. She is so talented and creates fabulous layouts and projects!

New Card & Layout

Here is a layout I did for Citrus Tree Studios April Challenges. It was use the colors pink green and white. I used leftovers from a friends previous Citrus Tree kit. These Cosmo Cricket papers were perfect for my Frosty page.

Another Gatefold Card from Creative Cuts and More.

I had so much fun with the Gatefold card. It doesn't take much to make a fabulous card!
Thanks for stopping by!

Photo Catch-up

Wow do I have some picture catching up to do!

Madeline has shown a new love for necklaces. Peyton has had fun with the party bead necklaces and we have a handful scattered around the house. Miss Maddy found them and wears them almost daily. I'm scared...do I have a girly girl on my hands? Yikes...what am I going to do? And if you take the beads away from her, be prepared for a tantrum. She DOES NOT like you taking her necklaces away from her.
Maddy's hair has gotten really curly and I just LOVE it! Although it does lead to some wild bed head hair. :)
She is loving walking, although not to steady quite yet. She loves to hold on to someones finger and walk. I just noticed Chris's pants are rolled up...thats kinda funny!
Chris and I have been trying to get her to walk in-between us. Peyton is so proud of his little sister and wants in on the action. Below he is telling her "come here Maddy, walk to me".
That usually leads to this...

Now for Peytons 4th birthday. I went super simple and easy this year and we had it at one of our favorite restaurants that Peyton loves, Charlies. I ordered a cake from Costco and bought Curious George cake toppers for it at Peytons request.
He then thought he should get his very own birthday cake like Maddy got her own lady bug. I couldn't fight with that one so I called up Safeway to get one of the individual cakes made up. She said she could put a monkey on it.
Umm....looks like a bear to me. But ssshhh....don't tell Peyton! ;-)
What did Maddy think about Peytons birthday...
Now back to daily life. I spend WAY to much time in this chair. Its such a bad picture of me, but it is what it is.
Sadly, these were my best pair of jeans. :-( Yep, I discovered the start of a hole. Guess I play on the floor to much with the kids. I never got holes in the knees til Peyton started crawling. This means I'm going to have to shop for jeans. To me thats like shopping for a swimsuit or a bra....NO FUN!

If you made it this far...kudos to you! haha! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back soon. I have a few fun projects to share!

A few things...

I wanted to share this card I recently made today. It is the Gatefold card from Creative Cuts & More. It was super quick and super easy!
I love the little butterflies. I kinda surprise myself as I'm not a girly girl and I consider butterflies to be a girly thing!
I made the flower using a pipe cleaner. It matched the card perfectly!

Scrap A Little's blog is expanding! Helen has started her own Scrap A Little Ning website to celebration the blog's one year anniversary. You'll be able to chat with other Scrap A Little Fans, share your layouts using Scrap A Little's fabulous sketches and maybe even join the DT! Check back for more details! This is so exciting!
Lastly...who asked for this weather? Really, do we need snow in April? Yeah, it was only for a few minutes and melted as soon as it hit the ground. But I much prefer the sunny upper 60's to lower 70's we had over the weekend!

Another Cosmo Cricket Layout

Nicole at Citrus Tree Studio challenged us to use a large shape. I found this picture from two years ago. Peyton looks so small. He was (and still is) my little buddy. He loved to run errands, shop and go garage saling with me. We'd have so much fun talking, singing and just spending time together. Not very often do I get pictures with the kids so I wanted to make sure and scrap them when I do.
I thought it would be fun to cut around the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird patterned paper giving it a fun edge. I then ran a red pen along the edge to make it stand out a little more.
I did a lot of fussy cutting. The only thing that isn't Cosmo Cricket is the cardstock and Doodlebug alpha stickers.
Here are a few pictures to share from Easter.

I was pretty bad about pictures. We ended up having to wake the kids up and that definitely started them out on the wrong foot and posed pictures were just out of the question.

Peyton discovered chocolate bunnies, but like his daddy, he produces heat like no other and melted the bunny before he could eat it all.

Poor Maddy, I was a bad mommy and didn't try any dresses on her before Easter to make sure we had one. This was the 4th one and she was not pleased by the end of this process. She REALLY did not like her headband. It didn't make it out the door with us!

I couldn't resist the sunglasses for her Easter basket. They are so darn cute on her. Now if I can just figure out how to get her to leave them on. Notice the hairdo? She has the wildest hairdos in the morning!
